K-12 Tech Education Zoominar Available

Samantha Dahlby, Director of K-12 Education for NewBoCo presented at the October IRDC Zoominar.
The New Bohemian Innovation Collaborative (NewBoCo) has a mission to accelerate world-changing ideas, from Iowa. NewBoCo’s programming supports entrepreneurship, innovation, and tech education to help Iowans become more resilient and thrive in a changing economy.
NewBoCo’s K–12 team works in the areas of computer science education advocacy, computer science professional development for PreK–12 educators, and local STEM programs for students. Samantha will share the many NewBoCo K-12 programs that have a statewide reach, particularly in rural areas.  In addition, she will discuss their programs that are based in Cedar Rapids, focused on work with communities that then extend to students to fit that community’s unique needs.
