Rural Summit Registration Open!

Iowa Rural Summit Registration Open

Registration is open for the 6th annual Iowa Rural Summit, to be held April 12-13 in Ames.

The Summit brings together rural leaders from across Iowa who share successes and best practices in the areas of housing, broadband, entrepreneurship and community development.  The two-day event takes place at the Gateway Hotel & Conference Center in Ames and features keynote speeches, roundtables and subject-specific break-out sessions.

Rural communities are asked to bring a three-person team to expand their ability to learn and connect.

“A 3-person team may arrive at the Summit as three individuals, but we hope they will return home as the planning committee for that town’s future success,” said Mark Reinig, president of the Iowa Rural Development Council, which hosts the event.

“We make it easy for rural teams to attend by offering them a low-cost registration price,” Reinig added.

The 2022 Rural Summit will feature keynotes on community building and leadership development and sessions on topics ranging from Census outcomes to landing a rural hotel.  There will also be a special recognition of rural leaders and pre-summit field trip options.
